Wisconsin Perennial Flower Farm Workshops

April 14, 2012 (Saturday) – Opening day

Celebrate spring.

16,23 & 30 (Wednesdays) 6-7PM Potting station

We will have a potting station set up for potting hanging baskets, porch containers & window boxes. Your containers or ours. We’re growing lots of special, colorful flowers to plant in pots. We’ve got all the supplies- soilless mix & timed release fertilizer. Value priced based on size and number of plants.

12 (Saturday)Bonsai demonstration

Learn the ancient Japanese techniques of bonsai from bonsai expert Steve Carini. Learn about what plants to use, crown and root pruning, wiring, potting and care of these miniaturized trees and shrubs.

June

13 (Wednesday) 6PM Make a living wreath with sphagnum moss covered wire wreath and our hens & chicks & succulents. Reservations please. $34.

 16 (Saturday) 1PM Repeat Make a living wreath.

 
 

July

11 (Wednesday) 6PM Make a cement leaf birdbath. You’ll be delighted with the result. You must leave it here to dry & return to pick it up. Reservations please. $17.

 14 (Saturday) 1PM Cement birdbath repeat.

 
 

August

1 (Wednesday) 6PM Make a hypertuffa pot. Lasts forever.  You can grow a miniature alpine or succulent garden in it and overwinter it all outside.  You must leave it here to dry & return to pick it up. Reservations please. $22.

 4 (Saturday) 1PM Hypertuffa pot repeat

  

September

15 (Saturday) 1PM make a Fall wreath with mini pumpkins, dried grasses, colorful dried flowers & bittersweet berries  $15
28-30 9-5 (Friday - Sunday)Harvest in the Heartland – A cornucopia of Bittersweet, gourds & heirloom pumpkins, handmade primitives & folk art, original treasures & unique harvest & Halloween decorations to warm your home. It's wonder fall!

 

 

Tours

We welcome you to walk in the gardens or fields of perennials (more than 1000 kinds of heirloom plants, perennials, biennials) any time we’re open.  We will also give FREE guided tours to groups of 5 or more – just schedule with Betty.

Circle of Friends

If you have a group of 5 or more friends, family or co-workers you can put together a Circle of Friends for a private workshop.  You may choose one of the workshops listed here or choose another – just ask Betty.
